“To properly experience a culture one must experience their cuisine.”
Join us on a Dublin food tour that brings you on a delicious journey through one of the world’s friendliest cities, embracing Dublin’s history and local cuisine.
This Food on Foot tour focuses on the street eats enjoyed by locals every day. It’s a high-quality, authentic experience where you’ll eat just like Dubliners do.
This isn’t fine dining – no lobster or champagne. Instead, we explore the best fun street food the city has to offer! We’re all about casual, tasty, local favourites.
Come hungry – we’ll stop at five different spots for delicious street eats, including at least one dessert stop!
The tour will last 3 hours. What makes our tour different to most food tours is that you purchase your own food. Although we make recommendations, you get to enjoy what you like, not just what somebody gives you. Because you choose your own food, this tour is suitable for all dietary requirements. Lastly, all our stops are surprise stops which we think is a big part of the fun. Most people spent about €20 on food on this tour.
The public tour runs Thursdays-Mondays. The Food on Foot Tour will take place between 11am – 2pm. Please see meeting point section for further information.
Please note: Food on Foot tours run 7 days a week in June, July and August
€25 for Tour Ticket.
The cost of food is not included. Most people spent about €20 on food on the tour.
The reason food is not included is because:
It makes the tour affordable for everyone. You can choose how much or how little food to purchase.
Our aim is to limit food waste.
You can follow your own dietary restrictions.
This is a walking food tour. A genuine, authentic fun experience where you get to purchase your own food – most people spend about €20 on food on this tour. We like to run a relaxed, informal group where we can get to know other people as we order and eat our delicious street food.
Our groups will never have more than 25 people each, allowing us to chat and mingle as we journey, bite by bite, through Dublin City Centre. In addition to all the amazing food, we like to throw in some history and fun facts as we go along.
Each stop is a surprise location, and while we’ll make suggestions, you can order what you like and every stop will have many choices. Naturally, you’re not obliged to purchase items at any location.
Many of our stops are at smaller venues, so we will be eating both inside and outside, sometimes walking with our food, as our name suggests! Bathrooms will be available on the tour, but may not be at each venue. We will be able to let you know on the tour.
Our Food on Foot tours will take place come rain or shine!

Awesome Food Tour with Kevin as our guide!
Honestly Kevin and his tour was our groups favorite highlight of Dublin. Kevin is an absolute gem we wanted to stay with him all day so we liked it so much we followed him on the bar tour. His passion and love shines through while talking and guiding us through street food. Our fave was the fish and chips. Book early in your trip because he has so much knowledge and recommendations for every part of the city.

Actually thought that this was “just” a street food tour where you were smuggled from one shop to the next. But what we experienced was our highlight of the entire holiday. We learned so much about Dublin’s history, Irish customs and Irish food that after 3 very entertaining hours we were smarter, fuller and incredibly happy to have booked the tour. Despite the rain and cold, our tour guide made it perfect. With a lot of passion and wit. Thank you Kevin!!

This was my second time doing the walking food and pub tours they were that good the first time. I was delighted to have Kevin as the tour guide as he is the best! You can see how much he loves what he does and how passionate he is about Ireland and the local businesses there. He provides a lot of fun and interesting history and knowledge of the local culture as well as shows some great spots/hidden gems! I’ll probably do these tours again next time i am back they are so fun.

I traveled through Ireland for 3 weeks and this was by far the best tour and food I had the entire time here. Make sure you come hungry and share your portions with others on the tour!! The true uniqueness of this tour comes from the passion, kindness, and knowledge that Kevin and his wife, Aoife had to offer. It’s clear they care about people and their city and they have created the perfect experience that will be memorable forever !!

The walking food tour with Aoife was the highlight of our trip to Dublin. Aoife was very personable, knowledgeable, and made our visiting of the city feel real and genuine. We’ve traveled to six cities over the past two months and did a walking tour at each city and this was by far our favorite! Imagine taking a traditional walking tour seeing all the sites and learning the history combined with lots of delicious snacks along the way! We had a variety of cuisine types and a meal for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and don’t forget desserts! I would 100% recommend this walking tour for anyone visiting Dublin.

Best tour my wife and I have ever been on. The choice of places to eat at was excellent and the way it was presented you just couldn’t ask for anything better.

One of the Loveliest experiences I’ve had in Dublin. The pay for your own food option was an extremely great idea for us as we not only paid less overall for food but had the opportunity to make friends and ask everyone to share with a few others! The guide was also incredibly amazing to be with. His energy was bright and vibrant and he was so patient and ready to answer every question that you have. Giving you detailed and wonderful answers!

I go for a foodie tour on every single trip. Kevin was (by far) the best tour guide I’ve ever met. Amazing vibes, great food and you get to learn quite a lot about history of Dublin too!
